Railway Recruitment Boards have released the official notification for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) and Technician recruitment 2026 with 9,144 vacancies. The exam will follow a three-stage selection process: CBT-1, CBT-2 (Part A + Part B), and Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) for ALP posts.
Why it matters for exams
RRB ALP is one of the largest Railway recruitment drives. CBT-1 covers Mathematics, General Intelligence, Basic Science & Engineering (BSE), and General Awareness. BSE (50 marks) is unique to ALP — covering heat, electrical, levers, mechanics — and is the highest-weight section.
